Eyes & Ears – the French Session

I was about to put together the November session of Eyes & Ears when my dear city of Paris got attacked by the islamic terrorists. I will not share my feelings of sadness and my thoughts this time but since part of the attacks was an assault on a concert hall and cafés -pretty much the Paris nightlife- I decided to alter the edition of the Eyes & Ears session slightly. Today, I have selected a few tracks either about Paris and France, and even a few french classic pop songs from France. Welcome to this all French session. This is my modest tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks.

José Padilla Les Jumelles (a rare mix of a sixties french song by José Padilla as a tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks):

Dimitri from Paris: Sacré Français (the song that “made” Dimitri from Paris)

Laurent Garnier, a part of one of his best mixes at the Grand Rex (already posted this in a previous Eyes & Ears session, but it’s too good not to be shared):

Roudoudou: “Peace and Tranquility to the Earth” (I wish it was true…)

On Ira tous au paradis – song by M. Polnareff, sung in the nineties by a famous charity band “Les Enfoirés”. The song says it all: “Everybody will go to heaven in the end”…
